Joanna Hers

Joanna Hers, age 74, passed away Saturday, April 9th at her home in Hays. She was born on October 30, 1936 in Hays to Jacob and Victoria (Befort) Herklotz.Joanna graduated from Girls Catholic High School. She had lived in New York working as a clothing designer before returning to Hays. She was a very artistic person ranging from clothing to paintings.She is survived by two sisters, Marietta Quint of Hays and Anita Pahule of Milwaukee, WI.She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.Private family inurnment will be held at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery in Hays.Contributions are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
