James Robert Borthwick

James (Jim) Robert Borthwick, age 62, of Hays, died Saturday, May 7, 2011 at his home. He was born on December 15, 1948 in Ransom to Robert E. and Jeane (Norton) Borthwick.He was a handyman and a drywall contractor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his father, Robert of Dodge City, two brothers, Alan (Regina) of Hays and Rex (Kathy) of Beeler; three sisters, Mary (Ron) Hemp, Moberly, MO; Kathy Baird of Brewster and Kristi (Lance) Carrithers of Dodge City and his beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeane and brother-in-law Tom Baird.Visitation with the family present will be Tuesday 7:00 - 8:30 P.M. at Brock's North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine, Hays, KS. 67601A memorial service will be held 1pm on Wednesday, May 11th at the United Methodist Church, Beeler. Inurnment will be at the Ness City Cemetery.Memorials are suggested to the Beeler Church, The Hays Public Library, or Th Gathern.
