Iva Schuster

Iva (Withers) Schuster, age 97, of Ellis, passed away Sunday, August 28th at the Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital in WaKeeney. She was born January 31, 1914 in Rocky Ford, CO. to Harry and Ruth (Gibson) Withers. She married E.L. "Red" Schuster on February 27, 1938 in Ellis. He preceded her in death in 2000. Iva was a homemaker, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the daughters of Isabella both in Ellis. She is survived by a son, Mike Schuster and wife Ginny of Ellis; two daughters, Gwen Wiesner and husband Jim of Great Bend and Lois Brinker and husband Jerry of Abilene; three brothers, Harry Withers of Wichita, Ralph Withers of California and Dean Withers of Denver. 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also survive her.She was preceded in death by five sisters, Lucille Henshaw, Lorraine Kuehnhoff, Pauline White, Mildred Wasinger and Hazel Smith; a step mother-in-law, Ruby Withers and a stepbrother, Tom Withers.Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis. Burial will follow services in St. Mary's cemetery.Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Keithley Funeral Chapel 400 E. 17th Ellis, KS. 67637. A rosary service will be Tuesday at 6:30 P.M. followed by a parish vigil service.Memorials are suggested to Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital.
