Eleanor Helen Younker

Eleanor Helen Younker, age 101, of Hays passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 in Hays. She was born September 23, 1912 in Hays to Anton F. and Rosa (Maska) Arnhold. She married Anton "Tony" M. Younker on January 27, 1937. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include three daughters, Esther McCleland, Charlotte Hoffman and Barbara Ochs all of Hays, a sister, Theresa Obholz of Hays; four grandchildren, Greg Reno and wife Tammie of Lawrence, Shannon Owens of Hays, Sean Hoffman and wife Monica of Broomfield, CO and Brandy Seitz and husband John of Olathe, KS; three great grandchildren, Mason Hoffman, Adi Brooke Hoffman and Xavier James; two step grandchildren, Casey Godeniz and Emily Reno.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Edd, Wendelin, Lawrence and Richard; four sisters, Virginia Leiker, Pauline Leiker, Clara Augustine, Catherine Schumacher and two son-in-laws, Larry Hoffman and Steven Ochs.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday 5:00 PM 8:00 PM and Friday 9:00 AM 9:30 AM all at Brocks Funeral Chapel ~ 2509 Vine ~ Hays, KS 67601.

There will be a parish vigil and rosary service Thursday at 7:00 PM
