Donald J. Miller

Donald J. Miller, age 76, of Hays, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Hays Medical Center. He was born December 16, 1935 in Hays to A.R. and Seraphine (Ruder) Miller. He married Jo Ann Dinkel on January 9, 1960 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hays.



He was a custodian for USD 489 for 43 years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and St. Joseph's Knights of Columbus council # 1325. He was a dedicated bingo player and he enjoyed gardening.



He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Miller of Hays; a son, Scott Miller of Lawrence; two brothers, Linus and Wayne Miller both of Hays and two sisters, Sylvia Edwards of Bison and Patricia Schmidtberger of Victoria.



He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Clarence and Harlan Miller and two sisters, Alice Jones and Inez Mai.



Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hays. Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A St. Joseph's Knights of Columbus Council rosary service will be at 9:30 A.M. Saturday at the church.
