Clara Kuhn

Clara Kuhn, age 91, of Ellis, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Society of Ellis. She was born April 6, 1920 in Emmeram, Kansas to John and Anna (Brungardt) Hammerschmidt. She married Andrew T. Kuhn on May 14, 1946 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1970.



She was a homemaker, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and Christian Mothers all of Ellis. She was also a member of the Victoria VFW Ladies Auxiliary.



She is survived by three sons, Norbert Kuhn of Hays, Norman Kuhn and wife Kathy of Victoria and Andrew Kuhn and wife Wanda of Hays; three daughters, Agneta Kuhn of Ellis, Josita Dreiling of Hays and Lucille Kuhn of Ellis; four grandchildren, Douglas Kuhn, Daniel Kuhn, Kristine Alvarez and Amy Rinaldo; nine great grandchildren, Taiten Kuhn, Caylen Kuhn, Benjamin Kuhn, Hailey Kuhn, Danielle Kuhn, Noelle Kuhn, Ian Alvarez, Gabi Rinaldo and Ellie Rinaldo.



She was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Daniel, Edward and Joseph Hamerschmidt; 2 sisters, Sr. Anna Josita Hammerschmidt and Mary Schulte and a daughter-in-law, Rita Kuhn.





Memorials are suggested to the Clara Kuhn Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date.
