Carol Pfeifer

Carol Jean Pfeifer, 50, of Naples, Florida passed away the evening of November 12th, 2013. Carol was born February 8th, 1963, in Wakeeney, Kansas to parents Allen and Alfrieda (Werth) Pfeifer and grew up in St. Peter, Kansas. She was the third child in their family of six children and graduated from Morland High School. After a successful career as a hair stylist and a licensed Cosmetology Instructor, Carol aspired to further her education and subsequently graduated from DeVry University with a degree in computer science. Carol was employed by Fairpoint Communications. Carol had just recently accomplished two of her life long dreams, having moved to Florida to bask in the sun by the beach, and getting engaged to the love of her life, her fianc John Cunningham.

Carol is survived by her fianc, John Cunningham; her parents; sister Kathleen Pfeifer Henry of Overland Park, KS; sister Theresa Pfeifer and Ken Napp of Thornton, CO; sister Diane Scott and husband Virgil of Denver, CO; brother Gerald Pfeifer and wife Marcia of Hays, KS; and sister Donna Wallace and husband Jim of Overland Park, KS; and seven nieces and one nephew.

Carol had a zest for life and was never afraid to chase her dreams. She always had a kind word to say and found the best qualities in everyone around her. Carol was a social butterfly who made friends very quickly and always left a lasting impression on everyone with her warm personality and her magnetic smile. Carol will always be remembered fondly for her kindness, beauty, charm and class.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hays, KS; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday and from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m., Saturday all at Brock's North Hill Chapel, Hays, 2509 Vine St.

A rosary service will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday followed by a parish vigil at 7:00 p.m. all at the funeral home.

A memorial service will be held in Kansas City at a later date.
