Carla Muench

Carla Diane (Herold) Muench, age 60, of Hays, passed away Monday, November 5 at her home. She was born February 27, 1952 in Little River, KS to Raymond and Betty (Bindrum) Herold. She married Michael Muench on June 25, 1995 in Hays.

She has worked at the Hays Wal-Mart for the past 14 years working in several departments. Prior to Wal-Mart she had worked at Hardees in Hays and was the store manager. She enjoyed reading and sewing in her spare time.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Muench of Hays; two sons, Michael Mortimore of Chase, KS and Kenny Mortimore of Hays; a step son, Chris Muench and wife Nikki of Hays and a step daughter, Jennifer Fox and husband David of Wichita, two brothers, Raymond Herold of Lucas and J.L. Herold of Chase; step father, Robert Johansen of Lyons, KS. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren, Charity and Carley Mortimore.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, November 9th at Brocks North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.

Visitation will be Thursday 4 PM 8 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Judes or Hospice at Hays Med.
