Alberteen Johnson

Alberteen Johnson, age 94, of Hays, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 the Good Samaritan Society, Ellis. Alberteen was born near Eldon, Missouri April 16,1921to William and Bernice Gorrell. She grew up on a farm and attended elementary school in Rose, Kansas. She graduated from Yates Center High School in 1938. she was united in marriage to Weldon Johnson.

In February 1948 she moved to Ellis, Kansas. Where she operated the Johnson Funeral Chapel with her husband Weldon until 1975. She moved to Hays, Kansas in 1981.

Alberteen is survived by her husband Weldon of the home. Three daughters Deanna Ziegler of Lawton Oklahoma, Phyllis Bailey of Topeka, Kansas and Janelle Sterling of Merriam, Kansas.

Private family Inurnment will be at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery, Ellis Kansas.
