Dominic “Doc” Schuckman – age 64, of Newton, Kansas died Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at his home. He was born August 4, 1955, in Lacrosse, Kansas to Adolph and Leona (Herrman) Schuckman. He married Michelle (Vsetecka) on September 28, 1973, at Ransom, Kansas.
He was a Regional Sales Manager for National Motor Club for 36 years. He also was owner of ACA Motor Club for five years. He grew up in Victoria, Kansas, and was a 1973 graduate of Victoria High School. He has lived in Newton, Kansas for 35 years. He was a former member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed yard work, barbecuing, watching track and his grandchildren playing sports.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Schuckman, of the home; two sons, Matthew Schuckman and wife, Jeni, Manchester, MO; Aaron Schuckman and wife, Jorie, St. Louis, MO; one brother, Sam Schuckman, Ashville, NC; two sisters, Theresa Wasinger and husband, John, Hays, KS; Martha Boardman and husband, Rob, Hays, KS; one step brother, Charles Vsetecka, Almena, KS; one step sister, Cheryl McNamara, Bonner Springs, KS; four grandchildren, Nathan Schuckman, Wyatt Schuckman, Matilda Schuckman and Greta Schuckman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Charles Vsetecka.
Funeral mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 25, 2019, at the Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas. Burial will be in St. Fidelis Cemetery Victoria, Kansas.
A vigil service will be at 6:30 P.M. Sunday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary, Victoria.
Visitation is from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Sunday, and from 8:30 to 9:45 A.M Monday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary, Victoria.
The family suggests memorial to the Good Shepherd Hospice of Newton, Kansas in care of the mortuary.
