Grandma Katie, I love you so much, I will miss you dearly. I am so happy that you got to meet Oliver. I cherish all the times we spent together. You strength and stubbornness has helped mold me in to a great wife, mother, and friend. Memories of you and your green bean, potato, and dumpling soup that I have mastered will keep you alive in my life. Watch over my son from above. I know that you will always be there for me.

Jean and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your mother and grandma. I know you all were Katie''s greatest joy. Seeing all the wonderful pictures of Katie brought back memories from years ago. I still make the cheeseball recipe I got from her every Christmas. I love you all and will be praying for you safe travel and the peace of God for your hearts.

Our grandma was the best grandma anyone could ever want. She was my grandma, teacher, supporter, best friend and inspiration. Grandma Katie was kind to everyone and had a true love for all others. She didn''t know a stranger and welcomed everyone to her home and table. She taught me about life and showed me how to be patient. She taught me how to cook and I will always thank her for giving me the skills and confidence to become a professional chef. She will live on forever in my memories, recipes and dreams. I love you grandma.

Katie

I remember the first time meeting you at the Bel Aire house, you were cooking Skylar something to eat and had told Shaunna you had made Peanut butter cookies. Shaunna would always give me a nudge to give you a hug; at first I was very hesitant because I had never been a hugger. I never had known my other Grandma’s so you were my first Grandma in my life. I see your love and strength in Shaunna so I know your spirit will never be far. I already miss those hugs.

I love you very much

Jeff

Katie

I know that you and my mom were best friends. I remember spending time between our two families. When my mom died, our families drifted apart. In 1990 I had the chance to go back to college and ran into Jean and back into your family. It was the best feeling in the world to have a second family and you made it so easy to feel loved. I am glad that we have remained in contact throughout the years. I hope you and my mom are once again laying on the bed giggling and catching up with each other. Thanks for everything!!

Jean and family,

I'm thinking of you and praying for you and your loss. Praying that as time goes on and human support is diminishing, but the pain and heartache is still present, that the Holy Spirit works in you to help you feel & know God's love, strength, peace, and comfort until the good feelings/memories take place of the difficult ones (as they fade).

I love you Jean. Love Shari
